the so-called superior room was more like a quaint throwback to the past, lacking basic amenities like USB ports, truly unacceptable for today’s standards. i guess my birthday was too much for the restaurant staff, who seemed to prioritize their own chit-chat over my needs. frankly, i expected a complimentary upgrade after such disappointment, but alas, nothing. just sad.

I loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. I could easily stroll along the banks of the Loire, which are just a few steps away, and the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc was a delightful find at only a 10-minute walk.

We enjoyed a pleasant walk along the river to the town center, which was a great way to stretch our legs after the drive. The kids loved the pool, and the comfortable room accommodations made our stay even better, especially with my sister in tow!
